3 Days 2 Nights Langkawi Trip :-)

What's next?? ->>>
LANGKAWI (5/9 - 7/9)

We booked the firefly flight ticket during the last study week, just RM18 round trip oo... Vy worth right... So friends, you should grab it as well when you saw that.
Or else you will need to go by boat about RM25 per way from alor setar or abot RM18 per way from Kuala Perlis. And, take boat will need more hour to reach for sure...

This whole trip is actually the suggestion of me, so before going there, I need to do lots of preparation. Lolx...
Hope my friends really enjoyed the trip =)
my roommate, took picture with MAS with the intention to cheat ppl she took MAS... hahah
The cloud look so nice and cute
We were so excited when we arrived in Langkawi airport.
We started to bargain on the car rental.
They wanted to charge RM100 for 3days.
Luckily we have shirlyn there to bargain with the person,
we got RM80 at last... hehehhe....

Then we went to find accommodation.
We choose AB motel RM120 ( 2 double bed) at Pantai Cenang
as I saw many good feedback from the internet.
Yup, The motel service is good,
but the room is abit sandy, ( maybe along seaside)
but to be honest, NOT BAD.

Location :
AB motel Pantai Cenang, 07000 Pulau Langkawi, Kedah Darul Aman.

** the most important you can get the cheapest price to island hopping tour tickets from there
RM25 per person

Next, we went to jalan-jalan..
Highly recommend to stay in Cenang for one night in Langkawi,
there are many stalls selling the souvenirs thingy
and it is more bustling at night.

After that, we settled our dinner at mamak,
there are quite lots of restaurant and bar around
just drop in to any if you felt it is suitable to you

We booked the island hopping for the next day morning,
RM25 per person,
should be the cheapest price can get.
(normally people get about RM35 and they actually go to the same places,
if possible can get your ticket here even you are not staying at this motel)
and to save the budget we also bought some cup noodles and snacks
for the breakfast of next morning =)

2nd day....
We have to check out early in the morning,
as the island hopping is 9am, and we will be back at 1pm.
*the check out time is 12pm
So, we left our luggage in the car.

Took earlier in the morning :-)
The first place we went is
Pulau Dayang Bunting (pregnant maiden island)
There were many of monkey walking around
and you must be careful if your hand got carry anything
they will bully you and rob your thing.
So better carry your stuff higher.

There is story behind about this island,
people said you can be pregnant after drinking the water.
I don't know maybe you can have a try.. =P

Four of us in the tour
Then, we went to eagle feeding,
really got many eagles.
they are so pretty...
We didn't bring any food, so we just can see them flying freely in the sky.

Actually the meaning of langkawi through wiki
Lang - means eagle...(Helang)
Kawi -  is one of the colour of the fur on the eagle
This island got many eagles,
and
That's why it is called Langkawi =)

Place for Eagle feeding
But people said better don't feed them,
if they too depend on the food of tourist
this is harm to them, as they are waiting their food everyday here.
instead of go hunting themselves.
Then is
Pulau Beras Basah
This was the place we enjoyed the most
The water here is so clear
but there is no toilet at all in this island.

We played water in this island and
we actually see "san hu" under the water
We went to touch it but the feeling is quite geli...
while,
at the same time we felt excited swimming at there.
The splash of water along the journey
After that
We went to a hotel nearby,
and we were forced to bath in the toilet.
As we planned to go another side of Langkawi
which will took about half an hour journey...
We cannot just go there without taking bath right.

took at Cable car there
We went to the cable car,
which is a place that shouldn't be missed out in Langkawi.
RM15 for MyKad holder after 5pm. =)
so we go to other place Telagah tujuh, which is just nearby,
to wait until 5pm

went waterfall 1st while waiting 5pm haha!!!
Actually we wanted to go Telagah Tujuh,
but we have to climb quite a distance
We fed up to do that and we just stopped at this waterfall
Too bad we didn't bring extra clothes
so we just can smell the odor of water
and hear the splashing sound
so relax.....

Girlss.... If you are lazy to walk then better bring your boyfriend together.. hahah
 5pm,
we went cable car
Too bad there was misty
so we cannot see the view very clearly

After that, went to find accommodation again
We went to tanjung rhu and we were told there is no cheaper motel around
So we got to drive to Kuah Town.

There are many duty free shops located there
we compare the price of chocolate
and what we noticed were some shops actually will sell certain choco brand in cheaper price
and we know we better walk around to compare prices before buying
SINCE, we were quite free...
Nothing to do, and no place to go.

At last we choose Azio Hotel ( highly recommended)
Thumbs up =)

LASTLY...... last day

We woke up at 6am as we planned to view the sunrise in tanjung rhu
so we got to take 20minutes journey back to the place.
While, when we reached there,
we found that we were in wrong direction
the sunrise shouldn't be here
* Tanjung Rhu is a place to watch sunset as well,

the beer is so cheap, just cost RM1.60 one tin

The hot spring is just like this, just can rinse our  leg.. lolx...
There is story behind in this hot spring
the legend of the creation of hot spring here....
the king of eagle in Langkawi...
she is a gal.. see she got tudung.... haha!!!

after the few places
while waiting our flight at 7.00pm

4 days meditation camp

The line in my hostel is too lag, this cause me cannot even load the blogger page. I want to continue the story of my busy holidays la =P

30/8/11-3/9/11 where most of you were having your holiday. While, I went to a meditation camp with boyfriend lead by 继持师父 at 吉打十字港佛教会。

I still like meditation even though I still unable to catch up with the technique. I was very excited during the application of this camp, while the long holiday has diminished my anticipation to this camp especially when I knew we have to wake up at 4.30am. Luckily, boyfriend push me and I know we got no rights to quit without any excuses. Peaople have prepared for us what…

As expected we were the youngest at there. Lolx.. The meditation camp is 1st being organized in Kedah, and so the response was not so good. There were just 27 members in the camp. I am sure, the master and 3 committees (yes only 3, proud of them), felt quite sad, may the camp can get better response next year.
So… yes… we sat at there, tried not to think anything, tried to peace our mind all day, every day. There were some warm up and cool down exercises in between la. And There were some other meditation method like, walk slowly, running too. But the main focus was sitting at there. If compare to last time, this time I felt harder to focus on breath and I just hope the time passed faster on the first 2 days. When you force yourself too tight during the meditation, you will feel very suffer. And what I get from this experience is working life is more stressful and tired than study life.

The first meditation camp I joined was January, held on weekend, school day. I felt more relax at there, and easier to peace my mind. While this time was totally different, I slept most of the time, but fortunately I can use the technique on the last 2 days.

I don’t make any promise this time, like must meditation every day, as I know myself very well, I will not do it. I just tell myself grab the chance to join camp, haha!!! The reason for joining meditation camp is still the same, for RELAXING…

I am a girl who like to force myself. I live under pressure most of the time I know, (and I know many of you don’t know.) I like to think non sense every day, I like to imagine the unrealistic…. I am so so so ….. So I like meditation, an excuse and also a chance for my brain to rest =P

Oo yup, I met a very funny uncle there, and I hope to see him again. He said, this is the first time he join camp, and he thought through meditation he can gain some “shen tong” hhahah!! He is so funny. He is good friend to my boyfriend. WHY? Haha!!! This is actually the 1st camp to both of them, and both of them have no idea what is this about. So… Both of them slack off during the meditation. Haha!! Curi-cur open eyes and move their legs, and this and that when everyone are concentrate to use the technique. HAhahah!!
Ooo yea! All of us have to keep silence every seconds except the last day.

So if you are interested too, just have a try. Let’s go… =P

Horas Medan =)

Wao... It's been so  fast, our uni re-open again lo.... Got to go back to study life again....

So..... Why I didn't stop working in the end of August like what mostly others do? As, my sister have booked flight to medan for 4D3N few months ago... Hehe!!! We want to go Bali at first, but da jie went there before, so we got to choose other place. Then da jie friend recommended Medan to us, thus, began of our trip here.

The trip was very very relax. The lifestyle in medan or should I say Indonesians have a more relaxing lifestyle. This can be proven by the way they walk, the way they drive... There is one interesting thing, on the road you can see the people actually drive following the way they like it. Their way of driving is very funny but I sincerely salute their driving skills. You will know when you experience it yourself.

There were a total of five of us - 3 elder sisters, mum and I.
Air Asia - Everyone can fly =)
1st time we took flight, so excited =P

Lake Toba - really pretty
The scene just outside our room in 1st night

Batak house - mostly Batak population in lake toba
The carved thingy in museum - they really have nice artworks
 Batak house too..
Some of the hotels which located by lakeside get to use the lake as swimming pool.
You can see how clear the water is
Actually I wonder why the lake is so clean, as lake water is not moving,
and so where the sampah goes?

This place, if not mistaken is called Tomok village.
Where it is a historical place.
See what I take in my hand and guess what was I doing?
Yup...
This was the place for death penalty of Batak people
The execution was very cruel
First they sent the culprit to another stone (miss the pic)
The culprit had to lean on the stone
then the executor will make some cuts on the culprit body
and they pour lemon juice on the wound
then only they sent the culprit to this stone
and chopped his head.
Lastly the king will drink the blood and the eat the heart of the culprit-they believed by doing so the king will gain more power
and the head of the culprit would be hang on the village to prove that they had been executed.
So cruel... yakss...
Then went jalan jalan in market
Boat to Samusir Island - island surrounded by lake toba..

We went to Samosir Island by another type of boat, which can carry cars along.
Like the ferry we have in Penang, but it is smaller.

The kids there are all experts in swimming, they can just jump into the lake and play in the water. We were quite shock when we saw them jump inside the lake, as it is very deep and none of us will dare to jump inside like them.
Our hotel (forgot the name)

Then we went to berastagi on 3rd day.
The place is quite cold especially during raining day.
It is just like cameron highland,
There sell many fruit which grow in cold area like strawberry, corn......

The view from our room, really nice

Five of us... Bought the same shirt =)

We stop at some attraction place on the way to brastagi,
Hot spring - just RM 3 per entry, and it was my first time.. like it so much... can be very relaxing
Sispiso Waterfall

The scenery is very very pretty... We took many photos here.

As our driver is a Muslim, and thus we had to wait him buka puasa 1st, then only he fetched us to dinner.

And thus, maybe we were too hungry
and every dinner we had was taste so delicious.... haha!!!

We did went a chinese restoran really not bad,
and went the local food stalls beside the road ( that meal should be the food that I am actually like, as we want to try local food which is more special la... )

We were actually going around Medan town on the last day.
Too bad I forgot all the name of the places...
As it was almost one month before... lolx...

So... Um.. Medan town for me is just okok....
Lake Toba & Berastagi are better places for vacation.
But you also have to take a flight to medan la...
UM... nice place =)

More photos can be found in my sister photo album
horas medan =)
